Direct democracy and participatory democracy today: from Switzerland to Latin America of the socialism of the 21st century

Abstract

In this paper we will make a short synopsis of the direct and participative democracy in Switzerland (since the Constitution of 1848) and we present the characteristics of  these forms of democracy in the Latin American countrys who had reclaim the principles of “the socialism of the XXI century”, I mean Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.
