Preliminaries to an Ethos-Project ‒ Part 1

Abstract

Initially it is necessary to become aware of the variety of the ethical positions and as a consequence thereof, the intentions of the respective author.  The ethical writings of homo sapiens reach back into antiquity, therefrom developing their own dynamic which significantly influenced  the people, who are seeking ways, which they can travel, in order to cope with the adventure of coexistence. In Part 1 of my deliberations I develop approaches to ecological-ethical positions, in order to show that responsible dealings with our home planet are essential for the future survival for us all. The ethical positions which I make recourse to, are those of the liberations-theologian Leonardo Boff and the worldly wisdom of the Umbrian saint, Frances of Assisi. In conclusion I refer to the  paradigmatic ethic and aesthetic which I find embodied  in an exemplary manner in the life of Pier Paolo Pasolini.
