Abstract

The contribution shows that the cultural function of philosophy, today, consists in promoting an attitude of reflective thought. In order to make this attitude possible, philosophy should put thinking back into the focus of its activities. This transformation of philosophy, in the sense of reflexive thought, is developed by the representation of exemplary moments of the relationship between spirituality and philosophy in Latin America.
